Lone Pine Campgrounds

The Lone Pine campsites offer a very nice family experience. Mt. Whitney is located in Lone Pine and there are sites close to the Whitney Portal Trailhead. Reserve your site ahead of time if available, as all others are on a first come first-served basis through the local visitor's centers. You will find some useful information on our Lone Pine campground map. Mt. Whitney is at a high altitude, so whether you're going just for a drive or staying at a campsite take precautions.
