It's fun, it's addicting and they're real close. Nevada is only one hour away but there is an Indian Reservation casinos just outside of Mammoth. The closest casino is in Bishop - The Piaute Palace, and Indian Reservation casino, which you probably will pass on your drive up the 395 from Southern California. Paiute Palace Casino 760-873-4150.

Nearby Topaz Lake on the California/Nevada border shares the beauty of the Sierra with the gaming of Las Vegas. Though not quite as big, Topaz Lodge and Casino has slots, tables, roulette and more. Located on U.S. Highway 395 less than two hours drive north of Mammoth. There is an RV park with full hookups, motel, 24-hour restaurant, casino, gas station and general store. El Capitan in Hawthorne, NV, is a short drive off U.S. Highway 395 north of Lee Vining. El Capitan 702-945-3321. There is also the Sierra Springs Casino 760-938-3359.
