Mammoth Lakes Pack Stations

the pack leader on horse in Mammoth Pack stations in nearly every major canyon of the Eastern Sierra offer hour-long horsebacks rides, half-day and all-day excursions, and custom multi-day or week-long pack trips. Let an experienced guide show you the real mountains of the West. Full-service trips complete with camp and cooking needs are available, or one-way trips will drop you at your requested destination. Pack outfits are located in Independence, Big Pine, Bishop, Mammoth, June Lake, and Bridgeport. You will need to book this well in advance and call the various pack station outfitters to find out their specific rides and costs.

If you want to experience the life of a cowboy out on the range, this is how you do it. These are active riding trips for people of all ages and riding levels. Don't miss the thrill of western life! There are a variety of trips that each pack station offers from daily horse rides, to real sleep over adventures. This is summer time in the Eastern Sierra at its best.

Here's what to ask for: Types of Trips

Full Service Trip: All gear is provided except sleeping and personal.

Base Camps: A set camp is used as an outpost and each adventure starts from the camp

Trail Rides: Different itineraries, interests, and lengths of stay.

Spot Pack Trips: They ride you up into the mountains. You bring all your own gear, and the packers bring you back when you are done.

Scenic Horseback Riding & Fishing Trail Rides: Guided horseback riding is available by the full day or part of a day. Advance reservations are necessary. Private parties accommodated.
