You can see the famous June Lake Scenic Loop and the relation of the lakes to each other. Grant Lake, Silver Lake and Gull Lake and the campgrounds in that neighborhood. Other landmarks include Obsidian Dome and the June Lake Beach.

Famous for the group of lakes known to locals as the Mammoth Lakes Basin these are the only lakes in the town that you can drive to Lake Mary, George, Mamie, Horseshoe and Twin Lakes. The other lakes are only on foot or horseback. The June Lake basin has Grant Lake, Silver Lake, Gull Lake and June Lake which also has a very swim friendly beach. Most people will get their Mammoth condo rental and the drive up to June for the day as the lodging choices are better.
