Midweek Madness at Mammoth Mountain
January Midweek Madness returns again! This is the January party of the month yet it only happens at Mammoth Mountain resort on Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday each week. You can save up to 20% off the cost of lodging at Mammoth, save on lift tickets and get the best specials on food. Plus there are free concerts, snowboard and ski events and everything you need to really cut loose. |
The best way to take advantage of Midweek Madness is to combine your weekday stay with a weekend. Many of the Southern California schools have a week off between semesters. This year the weather is supposed to be full of sunshine, with light snow regularly keeping the ski slopes fresh. So days will be sunny, nights will be our typical cold making skiing and snowboarding the best in California.
January is always one of the best snow times at Mammoth as the colder temperatures keep the powder light and fresh. So use your season pass, use your vacation days, use your credit card and come on up. We'll be here and we'll save you a spot on the best mountain.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays mark Midweek Madness at Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort. This translates to deep discounts on midweek lodging, food and drink specials at selected restaurants and bars in the town of Mammoth Lakes, and bands, music and fun from the local retailers. January is "season" for Mammoth which means the snow is great and with the recent storms, there is no questions about how much snow Mammoth gets.
Midweek Madness started years ago as means to promote longer vacations in Mammoth during January, just after New Years. While snow is in prime shape in January, travel after the holiday period is slower as kids have returned to school. Fortunately for those who don't need to travel during school vacation, guests can take advantage of lower lodging costs from companies such as Mammoth City Concierge and enjoy all the same benefits as traveling during the holiday... except the crowds. Often times, people learn about January Midweek Madness when they get sold out during the Christmas and New Years holidays.
Mammoth isn't the only resort that experiences sold out conditions during the holidays. All the California resorts especially South Lake Tahoe which packs it in during Christmas and especially New Years have sold out conditions. Getting vacation rentals in Lake Tahoe near Heavenly Valley are impossible on short notice. Many places will have minimum night stays and there will be no lack of reservations. So traveling during January's Midweek and into the weekend, just after the holidays is the idea way to go whether you got to Tahoe or Mammoth. You might even consider doing both resorts in the same trip. After all, they are only 3 hours apart.
Take advantage of this cost cutting tip and travel just after the holidays to all the resorts. You'll save money, and won't have the crowds. Read more about Midweek Madness at Mammoth
