The ice rink in Mammoth was purchased in early 2000 and grows each year and season with new found love. From ad hoc hockey teams to guests who just want to skate, the ice provides mountains of joy in an environment unlike most others.
The Mammoth ice rink is set completely outdoors, under the pines and is an open air arena that allows the natural elements to enhance the experience. The rink is used by locals and guests who want to get some exercise in a non competitive yet fun way.
Ice skating in the mountains has always been a great source of recreation while on vacation, and the hours of the rink vary depending on the time of year. As it is open, it is closed on warmer days, and open longer on colder days. There are sessions, so the best is to call the Welcome Center to find out the hours. The phone for rink information is 760-924-5500. No one mans the phones after business hours, but the rink is open late into the evening.
To get to the ice rink, follow the signs that are on Meridian Blvd. just behind the Vons center. It is located near the Museum/Theater and Cerro Coso College.
