Mammoth Sledding & Inner Tubing
When the snow falls, there is no better time to take your Flexy
Flyer and race off to find a hill to come schoosching down. Toboggans
and sleds, and snow saucers hit the ground all over town. Everywhere
you turn there is a short expanse safe enough to cruise, yet large
enough so you can avoid making friends with a tree.
Just off Highway 395 opposite Smokey Bear Flats is a very large
expanse and has fast become the haven for old fashion sledding.
A good huff and puff will get you up the hill and the run out is
long. The Welcome Center has maps how to get there, but it really is easy. Just head out of Mammoth and then north on HWY 395. You'll find lots of great places that have a nice long track.
Woollys Adventure Park
you're after a Super Slide, then Woolly's Adventure Park is the place. Formerly known as "Sledz", it is located just up Minaret Road. They are open during daylight hours and offer a groomed run
where tubers can bump their way till their sides ache from laughter. Race your friends, roll over whoop-tee-doos all while being safe. Moms and dads can watch from the little snack cafe at the bottom. There is an hourly charge.
